Warming Winter Smoothies

In cool winter weather don't make your body work hard to stay warm by drinking cold smoothies! Try these warm recipes instead! All these recipes utilise the warming herbs Ginger and Cinnamon

 

WARNING: Hot liquids create steam in your blender. Make sure you let the steam escape through a small gap in the blender lid. Hold the lid with your hand!

 

ADD all ingredients to blender, start on low speed and blend until smooth.

 

Warm Pear-Ginger Smoothie

1 Cup almond milk, warmed
1 Pear, cored and sliced
2 Tbsp almond butter
1-2" chunk fresh ginger, grated or finely chopped

Warm Sweet Potato–Spice Smoothie

1 Cup almond milk, warmed
½ lg sweet potato, cooked and mashed
2 Tbsp almond butter
1" chunk ginger, grated or finely chopped
½ Tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon

Warm Peanut Butter & Banana Hot Chocolate Smoothie

1 Cup Milk, warmed
1 ripe banana
2 Tbsp natural peanut butter
1 ½ Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp cinnamon
 

Warm Chai Tea Latte Smoothie

1 Cup Hot Chai Tea
½ Cup coconut milk, warmed
2 Tbsp almond butter
Chunk ginger, grated or finely chopped
1 tsp cinnamon

Honey to taste

Warm Apple & Cinnamon Oatmeal Smoothie

1 Cup Soy Milk, warmed
1 apple, cored and sliced
¼ Cup rolled oats
½ Tbsp maple syrup
1-2 tsp cinnamon
